KWS UEMS EMODS HEAD TO THE MONSTER AND THE BULLRING THIS WEEKEND

After a very successful event at Bob Rohrer’s Eriez Speedway on Sunday night, the Kinzua Water Service United Emod Series heads south for the Memorial Day holiday weekend with events at two completely different type of tracks.

On Saturday, May 23rd, the Kinzua Water Service United Emod Series will invade the Monster Half Mile, otherwise known as Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania in part of “Modified Madness” with the BRP Modified Tour. The very next night, the KWS UEMS cars will head farther south into hillbilly country of Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia. The quarter mile “Bullring’ will host a gigantic event that is co-sanctioned by the KWS United Emod Series and the Tri State Modified Association (TSMA).

Randy Hall of Olean will be leading the contingent into the Monster. Hall, the defending UEMS champion and also the 2009 Florida Alltel AllStar champion has won seven of his last ten events and is coming off a win last Friday night at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio. Hall finished second last year at PPMS in the UEMS portion of the “Pittsburgher”. Russ Dunn of Fenelton, PA will also be on hand and will be debuting his new Larry Shaw chassis #47 machine Brent Rhebergen, the most recent KWS UEMS winner will be making the trek south to PPMS in the Terry Suppa , Bob Pierce #4s machine. Other UEMS cars expected to be on hand are Wilcox, Pennsylvania’s, Tim Peterson, Franklin, Shawn Shingledecker of Franklin, PA, Greg Johnson of Ashville, NY, Mike Eschrich of Mt. Jewett along with Painesville, Ohio, driver Bryan Douglas and Chatham, New York’s, George Catanzano. Protecting the Monster Half Mile will be Daryl Charlier of Midway, Kevin Miller, JE Stalder, Tom Martineck, Clayton Kennedy, Jared Domhoff and rest of the PPMS regulars in the $800 to win Modified Madness event that will go 20 laps in length. UEMS rules will apply, including the standard $10 entry fee. Racing begins at 6PM with the gates opening at 4:30 PM.

The very next day, the Kinzua Water Service United Emod Series joins up with Tye Twarog’s Tri State Modified Association (TSMA) for the $3000 to win “Battle of the Bullring” at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia. Joining the UEMS stars of Hall, Rhebegen, Shingledecker, Peterson, Catanzano, Eschrich will be the TSMA hotshoe of Mark Dickson, who is the current TSMA point leader. Jess Hartman, Norm Aronhalt, Randy Gray will lead the TSMA contingent. Other entries expected are 2008 AMRA champion, Kenny Johnson, Darin Glower and Larry Holbrook. Tyler County Speedway will be represented by their own defending champion, Brian Probst, Mike Wilson and Louie Krushansky. Gates open at 4 PM and racing begins at 6:30PM.
