ULMS LATE MODELS RETURN TO ARCADE INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY ON AUGUST 14

After a very successful May 15th event at Arcade International Raceway, the Northern Tier Inc. ULMS Late Models will return to AIR on Friday August 14 for another, Friday night event at the Delevan, New York oval. The ULMS late models will once again run for another cool $2000 winners prize. Cyclone, Pennsylvania driver, Jason Dupont won his first ever dirt late model feature on May 15 and will no doubt be looking to repeat his performance.
“I am looking forward to making a return trip to Arcade International Raceway on Friday, August 14 for the ULMS return, stated, ULMS Director, Chris Zuver. At this time, this will be the last ULMS late model event before the scheduled season ending Fall Classic at Mckean County Raceway and drivers will be positioning themselves for the season ending point chase. Fans, may want to mark the date down as the last event in May had a standing room only. AIR has been very racey, the past few weeks with multiple grooves.”
The winner of the July 3rd, Northern Tier Inc. ULMS Late Model feature at Little Valley Speedway during the Freedom Daze Late Model Sizzler will be a guranteed starter for the August 14 ULMS event at Arcade International Raceway. NORTHERN TIER INC ULMS LATE MODELS KICK OFF HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Well, Mother Nature finally beat the ULMS Racing Series. The series had gone eleven races into the season for both the UEMS Emods and ULMS late models till mother nature scored her first win last Saturday night at McKean County Raceway. With the rain cancellation, the event at MCR will now kick off back to back days of Northern Tier ULMS Late Model action on Thursday, July 2nd at MCR and conclude the next night at Little Valley Speedway.
The Nancy Bly/Hazen Jordan Memorial will pay $2000 to win as the fans will get treated to Thursday Night Thunder at McKean County Raceway. The Thursday night date should bring some extra dirt late models into MCR as this event kicks off the long holiday weekend. Gregg Satterlee and Bob Close won the first two Northern Tier Inc ULMS Late Model Series events at MCR in May. Close is the current point leader in the series and the all time ULMS feature winner. So far there have been six different winners in the 2009 Northern Tier Inc. ULMS series. Satterlee, Close, Rob Blair, Jason Dupont, Boom Briggs and David Scott all have found Allen’s Wine and Liquor Victory Lane. Fans can expect to see, David Hess, Brent Rhebergen, Mike Blose, Jeff Hoffman, Mike Knight, Dick Barton, Greg Oakes, Al Brewer, Doug Ricotta and others to be on hand for this event.
The very next night, Friday, July 3rd, the Northern Tier Inc. ULMS Late Models invade the big half mile oval at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds in Little Valley, New York. The annual Freedom Daze event always draws a big crowd at Little Valley Speedway. Last year, Ron Davies won the fogged out event in a dominating fashion. The Rimrider is coming off a second place finish in the last late model event at Little Valley and no doubt be looking to defend his Freedom Daze ULMS crown. Brent Rhebergen is the current point leader at Little Valley and is currently looking for his first ever Northern Tier Inc. ULMS win. Other cars expected on hand to compete with the ULMS faithful shall be, Mickey Wright, Chad Valone, Canadian driver, Jeff Dayman, Ed Carley, Dutch Davies, Bump Hedman, Hoffman, Barton, Oakes, Ricotta, ULMS point leader Close and drivers from the Ontario Dirt Late Model Series will be eligible for ODLM show up points for this event as well. ULMS driver, Greg Oakes is the defending ODLM champion. All those drivers will be gunning for the $3000 prize money that’s on the line.

Nancy Bly/Hazen Jordan Memorial Postponed Due To Weather

McKean County has postponed tonight’s program due to inclement weather. The complete program has rescheduled for Thursday, July 2. The ULMS Late Models will be on hand for a $2000 to win show.

It will be five weeks since the sounds of race cars graced the 3/8 mile oval located on the McKean County Fairgrounds in East Smethport, PA. The Northern Tier Inc ULMS Late Models will make their third visit of the season the McKean County Raceway on Saturday, June 20th for the annual Nancy Bly / Hazen Jordan Memorial that will pay $2000 to win.
So far fifty three different teams from three states and two Canadian provinces have entered ULMS events this year. Gregg Satterlee won the season opening, Jim Duffy Memorial with a turn four, lap twenty eight pass on MCR standout and current Northern Tier Inc ULMS point leader, Bob Close. The ‘Razor”, Bob Close would come back to capture the May 9 Dave Lundgren Memorial. So far there has not been a repeat winner in the six ULMS events that have been completed this year. Fans can expect to see, Dave Hess Jr., Brent Rhebergen, Arcade – ULMS winner, Jason Dupont, Mike Blose, Jeff Hoffman, Ron Davies, Denton Boyer, Al Brewer, Ed Carley, Greg Oakes, Doug Ricotta, Luke Hoffner, Chris Farrell, Nick Loffredo, Bobby Stokes and others will be on hand.
A complete program of FASTRAK Late Models, Emods, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Mini Stocks will be joining the Northern Tier Inc ULMS Late Models. Racing begins at 7 PM with gates opening at 430PM on Saturday, June 20. Tickets prices are $11 for adults, $9 for Sr citizen (62 yrs or older), $6 for youths (ages 11-16). The family pass is $25 and fans are reminded to sign up for the Ultimate Race Fan Package for the 4th Annual MCR Fall Classic that will be held on September 25 and 26.
