BERNHEISEL RACE CARS REJOINS ULMS FOR 2010

January 13, 2010

As the ever growing 10th anniversary 2010 schedule for the Northern Tier Inc ULMS Late Model Series continue to grow over twenty events, the sponsor list begins to grow. Jim Bernheisel, President of Bernheisel Race Cars Inc. in Jonestown, Pennsylvania has continued their tenth year of supporting the ULMS Racing Series.

“I am very pleased to have Bernheisel Race Cars Inc. rejoin our series again for 2010. It was November of 1999 at the Syracuse Parts Peddler Show, that I confronted, Jim about doing the ULMS series and if he would be interested in helping out, commented ULMS Director, Chris Zuver.” Ten years later, ULMS is still around and has now solidified their place in the northeast region as one of the premier dirt late model series and BRC Race Cars have been along the ride the entire way.

For the upcoming 2010 season, BRC Race Cars will award $100 for every feature winner running a Bernheisel Race Car Lazer Chassis. Also a $25.00 gift certificate will be awarded for Aero Products for the ULMS Hard Charger for each event.[roofs - hood - scoops - seat fairings - etc.].

BRC again will provide a certificate for the 2010 Northern Tier Inc. ULMS Rookie of the Year for a free BRC Lazer, contingent upon the following:

1/ Must purchase parts kits @ $5,995.00
2/ Must race the car minimum of 10 times in 2010
3/ Must run Lazer logos on car
Parts kits include
1/ Complete rear suspension kit
2/ Complete front suspension kit
3/ Complete brake kit
4/ Complete rear end kit
5/ Power rack & pinion box
Total value of package is over $10,000.00

In 2009, BRC Lazer Chassis found victory lane eighty-five times throughout the season. The “Ultimate Weapon” was also the NCRA champion, with Kyle Berck winning the title for the Midwest regional series. Kris Looney won the Mid-Atlantic regions Steel Block Bandit series 2009 title. Jim Bernheisel isn’t just President of BRC Race Cars, but also drives the familiar red and white #119 Lazer in the Mid-Atlantic region. The new generation of “Ultimate Weapon” is seeing Bryan Bernheisel, son of Jim behind the wheel more and more in the blue and black #119B house car.

First Look At 2010 ULMS/UEMS SCHEDULE… More Dates To Be Added!

January 7, 2010

The 10th Anniversary season for the ULMS Racing Series is being put together and the first tentative schedule is being released with more pending dates still being worked on for both the Northern Tier Inc ULMS Late Model Series and the Kinzua Water Service United Emod Series. We expect at least four more ULMS dates to be added to the schedule and possibly five more UEMS Emod dates to be added by time the schedule is finalized in mid February.

“I am very pleased with how our schedule is coming together for this year for both series, commented ULMS Director, Chris Zuver.” At this time we have eighteen, possibly nineteen late model events schedule and we still have interest from more tracks that want to be part of our 10th anniversary season. So far the highlights of the 2010 season are the possible four day ULMS Firecracker Tour during the 4th of July weekend featuring events at McKean County Raceway, South Arcade Speedway and Little Valley Speedway. The fans and race teams of Stateline Speedway have asked for the past three years, “come to Stateline”, well ladies and gentleman, you got your wish! Francis Seamans of Stateline Speedway and I sat down and worked out a series of Northern Tier Inc ULMS Late Model events at the Busti, NY oval. July 10 will see the ULMS Late Models on hand for a $5000 to win show, then on August 7 the ULMS gang will come back to Stateline for a $7000 to win event and then a big two day show on Sept 10 and 11th at Stateline. Those events will be two separate events. There is possibility of another event in May at Stateline. Per agreement with Stateline Speedway, the events at Stateline Speedway will feature a American Racer Tire Rule only for those events. The ULMS Late Models will be co-sanctioning three events at Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway in 2010 with the UFO Race Championship Series. May 15 will see ULMS be part of the Red Miley 53 and then on July 24, the ULMS gang will come back to PPMS for the F2 Shockwave Twin 31s. The Northern Tier Inc. ULMS Late Models will also co-sanction the 21st annual “Pittsburgher ” with the UFO Series. The ULMS Late Models will conclude their 2010 season with the 5TH annual MCR Fall Classic at McKean County Raceway on Sept 23-25 where the Priority Care RaceFAN 50 winner will go home with $12,000.

The Kinzua Water Service United Emod Series will kick off the 2010 season with the annual Chiller Thriller at Mercer Raceway Park. As of now, Memorial Day weekend will see the UEMS stars at Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway for the Modisaurus X event, with the following night being part of the Tri City Speedway’s Memorial Day weekend event featuring the WoO Sprint Series. On June 18 and 19, the UEMS tour will make their first ever visit to South Arcade Speedway and then head to McKean County Raceway. July 31 will see the biggest event in the history of the Kinzua Water Service United Emod Series. UEMS will sanction Stateline Speedway’s $5000 to win Emod Invasion, with a $1000 to win non qualifier event also. Labor Day weekend will see the UEMS teams back for the annual Tri City Speedway Labor Day Classic with a pair of $1000 to win events. The following weekend UEMS will be at Stateline for a two day event featuring two separate shows. UEMS will join the ULMS Late Models at Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgher weekend with new race event details to be announced. UEMS will again join the ULMS Late Models at McKean County Raceway for the 5th annual Fall Classic on Sept 23-25 and at this time conclude the 2010 season at Mercer Raceway Park on October 2 with the Keystone Open paying $2000 to win. There is a possibility of another Emod show being added with Stateline Speedway (stay tune for updates). More dates are forthcoming for the UEMS series with tracks in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.
